With each treatment I draw on a wide range of healing practices which release all kinds of limitations, pain, trauma, fears, anxiety and childhood past patterns.These sessions help bring you balance, peace and understanding of your own inner true self and strength.
Offering many years of experience helping Adolescents, Women, Families, Children and Youth in all areas of mind, body and soul strength/resilience and healing. I believe in genuine holistic care for all people, is the only path to recovery for mental and physical wellbeing. The therapies I use are CBT ( Cognitive Behaviour Therapy ), IPT ( Interpersonal Psychotherapy ), Motivational Interviewing and Gestalt Therapy. Complimentary holistic therapies are EFT ( Emotional Freedom Therapy ), Narrative Therapy, Psychomotoric exercise, SOUL CONNECTIONS Art Therapy, Reiki, Crystal Therapy, Meditation, light Hypnotherapy.
I am a Qualified and registered Adult and Paediatric Counsellor/ Psychotherapist. Art Therapist, Tibetan Reiki Master, Hypnotherapist, Personal Trainer, Life Coach, Artist, Author, Illustrator and my greatest love, a mother of two beautiful teenagers.
I have had the privilege of working with Palliative Care Victoria in the role of Grief and Bereavement Counsellor/ Holistic Psychotherapist. My Art Therapy was welcomed in Palliative care with some beautiful art work created by patients and carers.
This role was very humbling and special, working with dedicated Palliative Care Nurses, Doctors and Social Workers, supporting Community and Unit Palliative Care patients and their Families. In this role I was also referred to work with patients with Motor Neurone Disease, which I received valued recognition from Barwon Health.
I have previously worked with children and youth with Cerebral Palsy, Vision Impairment, ADHD, Aspergers, Muscular Dystrophy and Autism. For the past 15 years I have been employed by the Education Department in Schools supporting students Educational
and Emotional Wellbeing, which is a whole school approach to thriving children. Currently I am employed as the Welfare Officer at the gorgeous Bellbrae Primary school, and previously with the Raise Youth Mentoring Foundation as a Program Counsellor. I am also employed at Surf Coast Secondary College in Education Support.
I feel blessed to have these positions and love my work.
This year I published my 10th book 'Soul Connections'.
One of my books ZEN MUMS IGNITE your LIGHT was rated in the top four books for family help in early 2015.
The photo on the home page is my daughter Madeline and I, swapping our books at a book Launch with the beautiful and inspirational Author Elizabeth Gilbert ,who wrote the Best Seller EAT PRAY LOVE. My favourite Book. Elizabeth spoke openly and warmly with my daughter and I about believing in your own inner strength and abilities, and to share those with others. I especially love helping children express their feelings through Art and words. Have a look at my shop page for a gorgeous little story written by a year 7 student Alyarne, called "The wind and the Sky". There is also my book "Bella Butterfly" from the words of the sweetest girl Bella, through her gender transition journey. Ignite Your Light is a personal home based Private business I created just for women, mothers, teenage girls and children.
It is a warm, non judgemental, comforting private and personalised SOUL rejuvenation sanctuary.
Here you can feel at home, relaxed and have a SOUL tea,( made from plants off our land) feel calm, balanced, re charged and take in beautiful natural coastal/ country surrounds. You will be greeted by the friendly chooks Lavender and Sunshine with their shy sweet friends Eddie the Duck and his girl friend Dottie Duck.
